  • Space and spirit.
  • |
  • The spaciousness and spirit of the house are due in part to the high, cross vaulted ceilings. All white interiors contrasting with the dark wooden floors add to the calm. Views from the terrace and rooftop add to the timeless elegance.

  • Italian influenced architecture brought back from a sea voyage.
  • |
  • The upper facade, faced with hand cut red volcanic stones, gives the typical Renaissance illusion of two floors. Six faux pillars cut from Kokinopetra, the volcanic red stones, have marble capitals. Below the two arched doorways tower over the Courtyard. The arches are outlined with Kokinopetra and supported by detailed pillars. The plaster facade is a Tuscany earthy red colour with a skilfully crafted polished patina, almost a lost art on the island.

  • 1864 The Sea Captain's Villa on the left side. 2006 The Cave Style House on the right. Ideal position near the main village path with few stairs required to reach the two houses. Views can never be obstructed by other buildings. Despite the caldera's overlapping and stacked architecture, these two enjoy independent space with a private chapel as a neighbour.
